Below is a sample of my own master list, it's made in a simple spreadsheet format, and all I do is print out the list and then highlight ONLY the models that are entered into the show I'm currently entering. This gives the show holder a nice list and I can update the list at the show quite easily as well. This saves me from having to write out a separate list for each show, and if I sell a model, I can just re-assign it's number to a new model, change the information on my master list, and I'm ready to go for all the next shows. Now, you will notice that I have "00 and 0" in my tag numbers, and here's why. I use the "find/replace" feature of Microsoft Word program to auto generate my show's results, and I know other show holders who do this. If the "00 or 0" are not in front of say #1, and I put #1 in the "find" box like this (102-1), it will bring up #201-1 and 201-10 through 19, since they all have a 1 in them, but if I put in a tag # of 201-001, it will only bring up that particular tag number (has to do with the 3 digit prefix number so it assigns 3 digits to the ending part too) so then I put  the model and owners initials-Milky Way (ZG) in the "replace" box, and hit replace, and it will automatically replace the tag number with the name. If the show has more than one class that a model can enter, then you hit "find next" and it will find the same number again, allowing you to hit "replace" and "find next" through the whole document, replacing each number with the horse and owners name. This makes it easy to generate results, as you just go through each persons list, and "find/replace" the numbers on their lists. Some show holders do it differently, but if all the tags are done in the same way, it makes it much easier on the show holder. Hope this information isn't too confusing, if it is, just email me and I'll try to explain it better. The tags just need the number, breed and gender (depending on what information each individual show wants) on the "up" side of the tag, and then on the back you can have your name and the models name if you want. If you are entering a show in another region and they use our system, make sure that you can use your number if you put your regions prefix number (1) in front of your personal number to differentiate you from that regions person with the same personal number. Also make sure the show host and judges know that you are using your region 1 number so they include the region's prefix number when they write the class placing down. This program will work fine as long as all the numbers are entered correctly.
